Can I use CADMCP.AI today?
Not yet. The online connector and the agent are in development. Our SOLIDWORKS add-in, which does the CAD work, already exists. Create a free account to join early access, and we will email you when the online connector opens.
What does a free early access account get me?
A CADMCP.AI account, launch news by email, and the option to choose a plan when the online connector opens. No card is needed.
Which CAD program comes first?
SOLIDWORKS, because its add-in is already built. The other programs on the connectors list are planned.
How it works
What is CADMCP.AI?
An online connector that links your own AI app (Claude or OpenAI Codex) to the CAD program on your own computer, using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The AI can read, measure and plan; every change waits for a person to approve it inside the CAD program.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools. CADMCP.AI is an MCP server: your AI app sees its CAD tools and can call them.
Why do I need an agent on my computer?
Your CAD program runs on your computer, under your licence. The small CADMCP.AI Agent links it to our server by dialling out, so no ports are opened, and it gives you a pause switch and a list of recent calls. Onshape is the exception: it runs in the cloud, so its connector is planned to need no agent.
Does my computer need to be on?
Yes, for anything that reads or changes a model: the computer must be on, the agent running and the CAD program open.
Can I use it from my phone?
You can talk to your AI app anywhere it runs, including the Claude mobile app. The approval itself happens in the CAD program on your computer, so someone needs to be there to approve changes.

Which AI apps work?
Claude (on the web, desktop and mobile, and Claude Code) and OpenAI Codex. In Claude, custom connectors work on Free (one connector), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.
Who pays for the AI usage?
You do, through your own AI plan. Your AI provider bills you; CADMCP.AI does not resell AI usage and never asks for your AI keys.
Does ChatGPT work?
We are starting with Claude and Codex. We do not promise other AI apps at launch.
Your CAD program
Do you host SOLIDWORKS or other CAD software?
No. You use your own licensed copy on your own computer. We never host, rent or resell CAD software.
Is CADMCP.AI made by Dassault, Autodesk or another CAD vendor?
No. CADMCP.AI is an independent product of 360 Technology Group LLC. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any CAD vendor. See Trademarks.
Are the other connectors tested?
Not yet. Only the SOLIDWORKS automation has been built and tested. The other connectors are planned, and each connector page says so.
Safety and data
Can the AI change my model without me?
No. Every change becomes a request on an approval card in the CAD program, and runs only when a person approves it there. Nothing in the chat, the connector or our server can approve it.
Do my CAD files go to your server?
As designed, no: your CAD files stay on your computer. The requests your AI app sends to CADMCP.AI tools, and the results (such as feature names, dimensions and, if you allow it, screenshots), pass through our server on the way.
Do you train AI on my data?
No. We do not train AI models on your requests, results or files.
Can I use it for export-controlled work?
No. Do not use the online service for export-controlled data, such as ITAR data.

Is there a free trial?
No. Instead, your first payment has a 14-day refund. See the Refund Policy.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe. We never see your full card number. Tax is added at checkout where it applies. Enterprise is billed yearly by invoice.
