Getting started

Four steps take you from a new account to your first approved change. Each step links to a longer guide.

Before you start

  • A Claude account (Free allows one custom connector; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise work too) or OpenAI Codex.
  • A Windows computer with your CAD program installed and licensed. SOLIDWORKS comes first.
  • About fifteen minutes.

1. Create your account and choose a plan

Create your account on the registration page, then choose a plan on Pricing. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your plan and receipts live on your account page.

2. Connect your AI app

Add one connector URL to your AI app and sign in with your CADMCP.AI account:

3. Install the agent and pair your computer

Download the installer from Your CADMCP.AI and run it. The agent shows a short code; type it on cadmcp.ai to link the computer to your account. For SOLIDWORKS, the installer also adds our SOLIDWORKS add-in, where the approval card appears. Full steps for the agent.

4. Ask, then approve

Open your CAD program, then ask your AI app in plain words. Try a question first (“What can CADMCP.AI do?”), then a small part. When the AI asks for a change, an approval card appears in the CAD program. Read it, then approve or decline. Walk through a first project.
